I'd like to ask you to comment in our blogspace on the reflection questions which Deb Gilchrist posted at the end of the May 8 interactive session.
How can you use programmatic assessment to help plan and build your IL program?
Which programmatic outcomes are you most interested in developing to help improve your program and ultimately enhance student learning?
How can you help build a "culture of evidence" for your IL programs?
What parts of this seem most difficult and why?

The aspects of the Characteristics of Best Practices related to planning and articulation with the curriculum seem to have the best chance of enhancing student learning, but these areas are difficult to achieve. Articulation with the curriculum involves so many university stake-holders! However, just as with student learning outcomes, there are stages of achievement, and if I am able to work on small steps toward a goal, eventually I might get there! It is very difficult to select a priority and to pick something that is not too hard to accomplish, yet has a significant impact.
